Peter Pitseolak High School students take as many opportunities to participate in on the land learning. There are opportunities to participate in the Arctic Games, Skills Canada, dog sled races and a variety of hockey tournaments. Kinngait is well-known for its outstanding Inuit prints and sculptures. Many students are related to world famous Inuit artists, printmakers and sculptors. Not surprisingly many of our students are talented artists.

Many students at Igloolik are English Language Learners. Presenters are encouraged to pace language to encourage student understanding. Models, diagrams and hands on activities assist and support student understanding of materials.
